This project serves the implementation of Section 18 of the Cross-Israel Highway between the Eron Interchange in Wadi Ara and the Elyakim Interchange in Wadi Milik. The project scope includes the construction of eight bridges at four work sites and reinforced earth retaining walls along the highway alignment. The following bridges will be implemented: • Alona Bridges: Two bridges 120 m long using 40 channel-section girders in each bridge; each bridge carries northbound and southbound roadways; 24 round-section intermediate piers of variable diameter ranging from 90 to 106 cm. • Taninim Bridges: Two bridges 60 m long using double-tee girders; each bridge carries northbound and southbound roadways; maximum clearance 12 m, four trapezoidal section intermediate piers. • Shelef Bridges: Two segmental bridges, each 260 m long, carrying northbound and southbound roadways; using a total of 174 structural segments; 17 m maximum clearance, eight trapezoidal section intermediate piers of 4.80/1.80 m section at top and 2.5/1.4 section at bottom. • Nili Bridges: Two segmental bridges similar to Shelef Bridges, each 264 m long, carrying northbound and southbound roadways; using a total of 178 structural segments; 12 m maximum clearance.
